Short Stories : Mary and Jack |
Yes, she was beautiful. Yes, it was successful. Yes, she had money. The only problem she had now was that she was alone.
We're talking about Mary. Late 20s, short blonde hair and lonely.
Mary worked as a secretary in a software company. It was a hot Wednesday.
Ring!! Ring! Oh God, it's already past ten o'clock, she yawned when she heard the alarm clock.
Still sleepy, she got up and went into the bathroom. When she finally found her toothbrush, she noticed that it was already half past ten. She quickly got dressed, picked up her backpack and went out into the street. When she finally got to work, there was only one problem left: her boss. Well, what can you say? Not everyone always comes on time. He was such an uptight man in his mid-thirties, always running around in his suit, and when it was time to end the workday, he comfortably hit his assistant. A typical boss. Joe sat next to Mary. He wasn't exactly the best friend, but he was easy to talk to. Mary and Joe mostly talked about being single. He was solo, she was solo. Joe had had many wives, and he wasn't bad-looking either. And he fell in love with Mary. Every time she sat down at her desk, there was either a rose on it or a piece of paper that said: I love you. In fact, Mary understood that he was in love with her. They often went out together, went to the movies and the disco and always had a lot of fun together. She liked him too, of course, but she wasn't in love. Mary are you already doing something today? asked he. No not yet. Do you want to do anything in particular? Joe wanted to play pool. Mary thought about it until she finally said yes. Mary, go to work, I won't pay you for doing nothing, says her boss. Mary still had a lot of work to do today. She had to catch up because she had been in Greece for 3 weeks. Yes, such a vacation can sometimes be really relaxing. Especially when you have a boss like that. So she was writing receipts all the time, filling out bills, taking calls, making appointments, and so on.
Suddenly her computer crashed. What a bummer, and that one hour before the end of work, something like that can only happen to me, she sobbed.
Mr. Mayerhofer, my computer just crashed, should I call the technician or try to fix it myself? she asked her boss annoyed.
Is all the data on it? asked he. She turned the computer back on and was horrified to see that everything that had ever been written into it had been erased.
Call the technician, he should come over urgently. She did. She hated calls like that.
Because every time such a technician came by, he wanted her phone number and turned her on. She was told on the phone that they were sending someone over. And she waited. You Mary, I'll go ahead and keep a table free for both of us! said Joe.
Ok do that, I hope I can catch up right away, she said.
Suddenly the phone rang, it was the doorman. This is someone from the technicians, should I let them up? asked the porter. You? asked Mary astonished. Yes, a technician this time, he said. Yeah, let her up. Mary was still wondering. A few seconds later there was a knock on the door. Mary went there. And when she opened the door, all she could do was stammer. Um, come on ... come on in. I'm Jack and what's your name? I am mary
I heard your computer crashed. Yes, that's right said Mary. Isn't Jack actually a man's name? asked Mary. Yes, that's what everyone calls me.
Jack was around 22 years old, had short black hair and deep blue eyes that Mary did not want to let go of.
I'll take a look, said Jack, smiling at Mary with such a mysterious face.
Jack sat at the desk, Mary stood next to it. Under no circumstances did she want to leave her side. Her boss called again. Mary bring me your documents, which you have already worked out, I have to discuss something with you that could take a little longer! Mary suddenly felt such anger. Why did she have to go to her boss now. Couldn't he wait until tomorrow to do that. I have to see my boss, unfortunately again, she said to Jack. No problem, I can do it myself, said Jack, winking at Mary. When she was sitting with Mr. Mayerhofer, she looked at him angrily the whole time.
Mary suddenly noticed that she wasn't listening to him at all but, strangely, was thinking about Jack. She didn't know why, but the thought was there and it didn't want to go away, which Mary liked.
There was a knock on the door. Come in, said Mr. Mayerhofer. Jack stood in the doorway.
Ok, I've now programmed everything, said Jack and smiled inconspicuously at Mary. Then you can go.
And we're done too, Mary, don't try to be late tomorrow. We have a lot to do, and even less time to do it, he said.
Mary ran to her desk in no time at all, got her jacket and rushed to the elevator.
Maybe I'll still catch her, she thought.
As she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Jack walking across the street. She called after her.
Jack, stop for a moment, she screamed. So loud that everyone turned around, including Jack.
Did I forget something? She said to Mary. No not that, I just wanted to ask if you, ......
You what Jack asked with a smile
Maybe you ............. Oh forget it. Said Mary and walked away quickly.
Mary !!!!!! Wait!!!!!! Mary !?
And she was gone. When Mary got home she hated herself for it.
Ring ring. Hello?
It's Joe, are you finished? Shit, thought Mary. She had completely forgotten about the date with Joe. Yes, I'm done, I'll be right there, I'll be there in about 10 minutes, she said quickly.
Mary wanted to look good today, so she put on a tight black shirt and her blue jeans. Well, the 10 minutes turned into an hour, but at least it came. Joe put the balls on, do you like toast? asked he.
No you calm down, she said. What's the matter with you today Mary, you look so confused? I'm just tired, that's all, she said.
Has something special happened at work? Mary!
Mary? Hello I am talking to you.
Yes, what did you want to know? Asked Mary. Doesn't matter, it seems to me that your thoughts are elsewhere than when you are playing pool, asked Joe worriedly.
No it's all ok, really! assured Mary
And should I believe you? Joe was the kind of guy who liked to take care of other issues. But Mary didn't need that right now, she thought of Jack again. Every time she thought of her she felt a sense of happiness.
Then the waitress came and brought Mary a beer. But I didn't order a beer. Mary stammered.
It's okay, you've been invited, said the waitress. Thank you, Joe, that's really nice of you, said Mary, and gave him a kiss.
But I wasn't, I didn't invite you, Joe wondered.
Then who invited me? Mary asked the waitress.
That young woman over there, the waitress indicated, and she pointed to the bar.
Mary suddenly got very hot, it was Jack. Who is that? Asked Joe. I only know her from seeing her, she was at our company today and got the PC back on its feet, said Mary very excitedly. And she's inviting you right away? He asked. But Mary was already on her way to the bar.
Hello Mary! Said Jack and smiled so damn sweet again. Hello Jack, that's all she got out of it.
Have you been here long? Asked Jack. No for half an hour. I've been here for an hour, I've been watching you Mary!
Oh really? I was so lost in thought, said Mary
I've already noticed, why did you leave so quickly today? I wanted to talk to you! Jack asked sadly.
Yes, I'm sorry, but I was probably too shy.
Too shy for what? Jack asked. Mary thought inside of whether she should say something or not, but then she thought that she hated each other because she hadn't said anything.
I wanted to ask you if you would like to have a drink with me. But I was just too shy, said Mary, red-faced.
What? Why were you too shy? You know I would have said yes for sure! Jack tried to make her understand.
Yes, but I wasn't sure, said Mary. I would definitely have said yes, I smiled at you in the office, didn't you notice? asked Jack. But that struck me, that was so nice about you. And it's beautiful about you, remarked Mary.
You have such beautiful eyes Mary, that somehow enchanted me, normally I don't go up to everyone and smile at them right away, but with you it just sparked.
That's where Joe came from. Am I bothering you two? He asked
Yes, said Mary. No, said Jack. I'm Mary's work colleague, my name is Joe and you?
Jack, hello, nice to meet you.
Jack? That's a man's name, isn't it?
I know, said Jack. Mary and Jack laughed. You, Mary, I'll go again then, I'll see you at work tomorrow.
See you tomorrow, Joe. Ciao Joe, Jack laughed. And? What do we both do now? Jack asked.
I have no idea Jack. Mary, you are so beautiful, said Jack quietly and took Mary's hand and caressed it. Mary pulled her hand away. What is Mary, did I do something wrong? No, I'm just so excited and I think it's too beautiful, Mary stammered.
I know what you mean, I can feel it right now too.
Do you live far from here, Mary? No, not really, 10 minutes away from here.
Why?
Well, I figured we might go for a walk in the woods.
Do you feel like it? Asked Jack
Sure, that's a good idea.
Jack paid and took Mary by the hand. Mary was very excited, so much so that it was difficult for her to breathe. Mary had fallen in love - and how. Jack looked Mary in the eye the whole time.
And so they strolled through the forest.
They stopped in a clearing and listened to the birds. It was so nice. This silence. Jack sat down on a bench and smoked one. Mary too. Mary didn't dare to sit next to Jack. Then she took her hand and pulled it over to her on the bench. Have you ever had a girlfriend? Jack asked. Yes, she said.
And what happened? Jack asked
You know, we were both pretty young and her father had something against us.
Did you love her asked Jack. I once believed that, but today she pretends I don't exist.
Well, when you both were young. It sure wasn't easy for her if her father was against it.
But I wasn't as in love with her as I am with you, Mary admitted.
Jack took Mary's face in his hand and said: I think I just fell madly in love with you, then Jack leaned over and kissed her very tenderly. Mary suddenly didn't know what to do anymore, she just gave in to Jack's kisses. They kissed for a long time. A feeling of love rose in Mary. She didn't want to stop kissing her. When Jack broke away from Mary, Mary smiled. She was so happy in that moment.
It's pretty late, Mary, and you still have to work tomorrow.
Yes, that's right, but I want to kiss you again. Their kisses got harder and harder until Jack finally said she was scared when it got so dark in a forest.
So they set out. It was half past ten. Should I take you home? Jack asked.
Definitely, said Mary.
When they finally got to the front door, Mary began to cry.
What's the matter with you, my darling? Asked Jack, very worried.
I'm just so happy and sad at the same time because I have to go home now.
Oh Mary, you are so cute, see you tomorrow, right? Or do you have such a bad impression of me? Jack laughed.
No, on the contrary, I just can't take it until tomorrow.
Jack give me your number! Mary, what is it, why suddenly in such a hurry, I'll give you the number anyway! said Jack.
I just want to make sure I don't see you for the last time today, Mary sobbed.
Jack took her in his arms and comforted her. Do you think I'm missing out on something beautiful like you? Never in life! clarified Jack.
But if you want to give me your number, I'd be very grateful too, Jack laughed.
Sure I'll give it to you, but really give me a call, promise, Jack.
Mary my darling I'm so damn in love with you why shouldn't I call you.
I don't have a father who objects, and certainly not my mother. And if it were, I'm 22 and I love whoever I want.
Do not worry.
Ok Jack, thank you, said Mary. Can i pick you up from work tomorrow asked Jack.
Yeah sure, I'm out at 5 a.m. And what are you going to do with me tomorrow? asked Mary curiously.
Fall in love with you all over again, said Jack with a seductive look.
Olala, laughed Mary. Ok, Jack, good night to you. Me too, my darling, and dream of myself. Jack gave her a long, tender kiss. Then Mary went to her apartment, undressed and went to bed.
But understandably she couldn't sleep. She just thought about them. Her delicate hands, her gentle kisses and her soft lips.
Mary thought that now she would like to have Jack next to her. But that would happen too quickly.
Ring ring. The phone ripped Mary out of her thoughts. Hello?
Yes hello. It's Joe, I just want to quickly ask if you're okay and where you are.
Joe, why are you calling at this time, I'm home trying to sleep, why?
Well, I just want to know if my Mary had a good evening.
1. I'm not your Mary,
2. Yes, I had a wonderful evening with Jack
3. Never call me at this time again.
So see you tomorrow, or better said today, at work. OK? Ciao Joe, laughed Mary.
Ok Mary, I'm sorry.
After a few minutes the phone rang again. Mary answered grumpily.
Hello!!
Oh, sorry my darling, I don't wanna wake you up. I'll call you tomorrow.
No, no, wait, stay tuned Jack, I thought it was Joe again, he annoyed me before.
Are you asleep, my darling? Asked Jack. No, I was just thinking about you.
Mary melted away. I was just thinking of you too, that's why I called.
I just wanted to tell you that I miss you, my darling, said Jack very sadly.
I miss you terribly too, Jack. I wish I could be with you now
Do you want me to come over to you? Asked Jack.
You wouldn't be happy with me anyway, because I'm going to sleep in a moment, yawned Mary.
Why joy? My darling, it's already enough joy for me that I see you and can be with you.
I know, but it's better if you don't come, otherwise it'll all go so quickly. I mean, we've only known each other for a few hours. And I want it to be special when you first come to me, and nothing special when I sleep, said Mary
Ok my darling, you are right, we should take it easy. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?
Ok Jack, sleep well and dream of me too.
I will. Good night my darling.
Good night, Jack. Mary hung up. Suddenly the cell phone rang again.
Hello? Haaaallllo?
I'm Jack, I forgot to tell you I love you.
Oh Jack, you are sooo cute, I love you too.
Good night mary Good night jack
Mary hung up a third time, but this time it was really the last time.
She was already so tired that she fell asleep straight away.
But one thing happened. She really dreamed of Jack.
And Jack dreamed of her. Mary slept well for the first time in a long time. But in the morning the alarm clock woke her up again. But this time she had at least a little time to eat breakfast.
Yawning happily, she got out of bed. The first thought she could think of was Jack. She went into the kitchen. Suddenly the phone rang.
Hello? It was Jack. Have a wonderful good morning, darling, said Jack. Good morning, Jack, said Mary sleepily. Did you sleep well mary Yes, thank you very well, haven't slept so well in a long time. And you jack
Unfortunately I didn't sleep at all. Why not? asked Mary.
I kept thinking about you, I would have loved to be with you yesterday, said Jack sadly.
Suddenly the doorbell rang. You, Jack, hold on a minute, there's someone at the door. Mary went to the door. Who can that be again now, she thought.
She opened the door. Mary suddenly turned completely white in the face. It was Jack who was standing in front of the door. I just wanted to bring you your breakfast, Jack smiled. Mary rushed out the door and hugged Jack very stormily, so that the milk fell off her. Jack, what are you doing here, you idiot, said Mary with excitement. I wanted to have breakfast with you, but I can go again if I disturb.
No, Jack, stay here, I won't let you go again now, said Mary seriously, and pulled Jack by the hand. Come in.
Jack looked so seductive today, she was wearing a black tight top, torn jeans and a leather jacket over it. Mary couldn't believe Jack was with her. Mary made the coffee while Jack cooked the eggs. They sat down at the table together. They didn't say anything, they just looked at each other the whole time. When they finished eating Mary said it was time for her to get to work. Jack agreed. Should I drive you over there? Asked Jack.
If you have nothing better to do, please!
What's the one in this room? Jack asked, pointing to a door in the apartment.
You'll get to know that soon enough, Jack, not so curious.
Ah, sounds interesting, said Jack with an insidious smile.
Wait a minute, Jack, I have to change, said Mary.
And I'm not allowed to watch you? Asked Jack.
Ok, if you really want to, you can Jack. Jack didn't have to be told twice.
They both went into the room that Jack really wanted to see.
Is that cozy? Jack asked.
What?
Your bed! said Jack. But it's very comfortable, said Mary.
Can I lie up? Jack asked, embarrassed. Yes of course, said Mary.
But I have to get to work slowly.
Ok, let's go then, said Jack.
When Mary had moved, she took Jack by the hand and went with her into the anteroom, where Jack put her shoes back on.
When they were out on the street, Mary asked Jack what kind of car she had.
Oh, a very old one, a Dodge. I bought it very cheaply once, and before I didn't even have a car ... said Jack.
When they were in the car, Jack kissed Mary tenderly. Then she started the car. After 5 minutes they arrived at Mary's company. Mary got out and went to Jack's side. Mary leaned in the window, looked at Jack and gave her a long, tender kiss. Both forgot everything around them. Jack took her head in his hand and stroked it. All the drivers behind Jack's car were already honking their horns, because Jack was in the second lane. But neither of them noticed anything at all. They kept kissing and couldn't stop because it was such a nice feeling for Mary. She has never been so in love with her life.
But they had to stop because a driver got out and asked Jack to please continue. Mary, see you after work, I'll pick you up, ok? Yes, Jack, I'm looking forward to you. Ciao Mary.
Mary crossed the street and waved to Jack quickly before going into the company. Joe was already waiting for her.
Well hello Mary, I'm sorry I pissed you off yesterday, but I just wanted to make sure you were okay. Hi joe! Forgive and forget, I'm no longer angry with you anyway.
Joe suddenly pulled a bouquet of flowers from behind his back. It's for you, my darling, said Joe very nervously.
I would like to invite you to dinner today, because I have now finally realized that I love you, said Joe excitedly.
Mary no longer knew what to say to him now. She didn't want to hurt him now. But on the other hand, she knew exactly what it is like to be in love. She didn't know what to do next. Because he didn't know that she was a lesbian. I don't know, Joe, if I still have time today.
Mary, you've always had time since we've known each other, and we've known each other for 3 years, Joe contradicted her.
I know Joe, but I made up my mind today.
Has this something to do with Jack or something? Joe asked.
Mary, you can tell me what's wrong with you, you've finally made new friends again, if that's the case, you can take me with you anyway. I would also like to get to know her. I don't have any new friends, you're the only friend I have right now, said Mary.
Mary and Joe sat at their desks. Good morning, Joe, good morning, Mary, said Herr Mayerhofer.
Good morning !!! they both shouted in unison.
Ok, Joe, I'll tell you. I was out with Jack yesterday, Mary began to tell. Then we went for a walk and fell in love with each other. We're together now, Joe, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about it, but I didn't mean to hurt you, said Mary.
Joe shed tears. Mary wanted to comfort him. But Jack got up and went out the door. Joe now wait, come back here, Joe !!, cried Mary.
But he didn't want to hear. Joe went to a place that was right next to the company. Unfortunately, Jack was also on lunch break at the bar with her boss. But Joe didn't see her at first. Jack saw him and walked over to him. Hi joe how are you Is Mary okay too? She asked. Just get out of here, okay? Said Joe sourly.
What is it? Did I hurt you? Jack asked unsuspectingly.
Don't touch Mary anymore, leave her alone. She belongs to me!
That's the way it goes! Joe, you don't have to be mad, you have the best friendship you can have, Jack tried to reassure him.
What do you know about our friendship, you just come, don't even know Mary, just go with her and pretend you know everything. Get out of here! Said Joe.
Ok, then I'll stop, but don't think I'll give Mary back, she feels a lot happier with me. I don't think you know anything about her, she was unhappy, had no one to talk to, she told me all this. Anyway, I don't think you're listening to me anyway.
Joe listened to her, but tears came to him. Just get out of here !!! he started screaming loudly. Suddenly Mary came into the bar. She saw Jack and Joe screaming around, she ran over to it, glared at Jack and Joe. What's the damn thing going on here? She asked the two of them. I've seen enough, I'm leaving, said Jack, and just walked away. Mary wanted to hold her back, but Jack tore himself away from her hand and walked angrily out of the bar. Great, Joe, you did a great job, what are you thinking of yelling at her like that? Jack is waiting outside, looking inconspicuously through the window. She overheard everything, suddenly felt sorry for everything, but Joe had pissed her off. Why did you yell at her now, give me an answer, Joe, you know, I'm honest with you and you do this to me, thank you Joe. You may have just destroyed a very nice relationship for me. I'm sorry Mary, really, I overreacted a little. Of course I accept your relationship, said Joe sadly. Then Jack came into the bar. Jack! Thank god you're still there! Stammered Mary. Jack just hugged her. I'm sorry my darling that I just left like this.
Jack, I don't want to lose you, I love you too much.
You won't, I was only mad at Joe for a short time. Joe, I'm sorry, I don't want to argue with you. You're a nice guy anyway, smiled Jack. Joe smiled a bit, I'm sorry too. But Joe, I know who for you, she's 20, looks good and loves men like you. Jack said suddenly.
Really? That would be really great of you Jack! What's her name? And how do you know her from?
Her name is Sabrina, she is my best friend, I know her from work. I can introduce her to you today if you want? Yes, that would be just the thing for you, Joe, said Mary, relieved.
Yes, introduce them to me, then we can go out to dinner together.
Yes, ok, I'll pick up Mary today anyway, then I'll take Sabrina with me right away.
Joe, we have to get back to work. Suddenly Joe's cell phone rang.
Hello? Yes? Really? Well that's great, thank you Mr. Mayerhofer. Ok, I'll see you tomorrow. Listen again.
Mary, I have good news, he gave us up today because there wasn't so much to do and he has a conference now, Joe said happily.
Juhuu! shouted Mary, hugging Jack hard so that she could hardly breathe. But Jack, you still have to go to work. Must I? No, I don't have to anymore, I almost always only work until the afternoon. Well, I still have an hour to work, but you can come with me if you want!
What does your boss say if someone just comes along? Asked Mary.
I got my boss's job when my former boss was still there.
He's an old school colleague of mine, said Jack, very casually. Ok, I like to come with you, what about you Joe?
Yeah sure I'll come with you, what do you think, said Joe. Ok, let's go, it's only fifteen minutes from here, said Jack.
They got into the car and drove. You can wait for me here and watch me work, smiled Jack when they were at the company. Jack sat down at her computer. Then the phone rang again, it was a customer. Comtrec AG, what can I do for you? Yes! What is your problem exactly? Shut down and restart your computer and see if it is still crazy. After a while: yes, he's still crazy and all data has been deleted, said the customer.
Oh dear, that's not good, are you home? Yes I am. I'll send someone over for you. Where do you live Aha, he'll be there in about 1 hour. Is that ok with you? Ok, can I still have your name and phone number?
So the colleague will drive to you, that'll work again. Well, have a nice day, goodbye.
Come here, darling, Jack said to Mary. Mary went over to her.
Jack wanted to kiss her, but the phone rang again.
Comtrec AG, what can I do for you? Yes? Aha! Yes! No you don't need to.
So the data is still there? This can only be due to the network card. Should I send someone over to you? Where do you live Do you urgently need the computer? Yes? Oh dear, that's a problem, we've already sent all the technicians out of the house today, but don't worry, I'll come and see you personally. Are they at home now? Ok, I'll be there in a minute. Listen again. I'm sorry, my darling, today is really stressful again. I have to go there now or Alex will behead me.
Who is Alex? Asked Mary curiously. My well-known boss, Jack laughed and kissed Mary. Joe, are you still alive? Jack asked.
Yes, can I talk to you for a minute, Jack? Asked Joe. Sure you can, what's up? I just wanted to say that I envy you that you have Mary. Please don't hurt her, I couldn't take it. I like her so much, said Joe seriously.
I won't, never in my life I love her too much for that, I'm sorry for you Joe, but today I'm going to introduce you to Sabrina. It's sure to work, said Jack.
I hope so, but I'm always an optimist at that, said Joe confidently. Yes, I think so too, you're such a wild stallion, Joe, laughed Mary. Okay, let's drive people? Jack urged.
So they went to the car. Joe was in the back and Mary was next to Jack. Jack put the fluffy rock CD on the radio. Maria Carey was singing. Jack looked at Mary with a small smile and put her hand on Mary's knee. They drove for half an hour. So here we are! Said Jack. It sure doesn't take long, after all, I'm a professional, she laughed.
Well, I hope I can't run away. Because I don't know my way around the dump anyway, joked Mary.
Jack rang the bell. Hello? Who is it? Asked a young voice.
Yes, hello, Comtrec company here! Yes, come up, door number 3, please.
Hello, come in! It is extremely rare for there to be female technicians, said the young woman. She had a huge apartment.
Everything was so elegantly furnished. Jack went to the computer and sat down.
So how did it all happen? Asked Jack.
Well, I wanted to do some work for my husband and all of a sudden the computer crashed, I turned it on again, but then suddenly all the data was gone. Oh god, my husband will kill me if he sees this, said the woman, dismayed.
Please don't worry, I'll fix it again, something like that happens often, these are mostly just small errors in the network card. It's quick, Jack reassured the customer. But it wasn't as fast as Jack had imagined. She had to look at every damn folder. 2 hours had passed by now. Meanwhile, Mary and Joe were waiting in front of the house. How much longer will that take, now we've been waiting two hours, said Joe, annoyed.
Calm down, it can't be that long, said Mary.
So now we have it, finally! Here you go, it's working again, said Jack, relieved. Would you like to have a drink before you go? Asked the woman.
Yes gladly! The woman put a beer on the table for Jack. What is your name, if I may ask? I am Jack and you? I am Bea, hello!
How long have you been married? Jack asked. For 2 years!
Mary was getting impatient. Should i go in joe? I don't think that would look good, what would the customer say? Joe replied.
Meanwhile in the apartment: Jack saw a picture on the wall where Bea was dancing. Do you like to dance? Asked Jack. Yes, I went to dance school once, said Bea. And what do you dance like that?
Just waltzes and stuff. I can't dance, unfortunately, said Jack.
Do you want me to teach you? Yes, of course, said Jack and laughed.
So Bea started dancing with Jack. Jack kept climbing to her feet.
Bea put in a waltz CD. What's that noise? Asked Mary Joe. That's waltz, said Joe without hesitation. It's from the apartment Jack is in, said Mary. Oh nonsense, Mary, why should they hear waltzes? There's Jack, she said. Where? Asked Joe. Well, don't you see her, she's dancing with the one woman. Right, said Joe.
Just wait, why is she dancing with her? Asked Mary angrily. Mary went to the window and watched the two of them. They laughed. They only laughed because Jack got on her feet. But Mary didn't know that. I've seen enough, I'm going, said Mary to Joe. Mary, don't act like that, stay here, are you completely crazy now? Joe yelled after her. But Mary just left. Half an hour later, Jack came out. Hey, what's the matter with you, huh? Joe asked Jack. Why, what's going on, where is my wife anyway? Jack asked unsuspectingly. Why do you dance with other women? Mary left because she was mad at you. Shouted Jack, that's not possible! I danced with her because she wanted to teach me the waltz, she's been married for two years, she once went to dance school, Jack began to scream. I love Mary, understand that Joe, that was completely harmless. I get it, but explain it to Mary, Joe asked. I have to see her, said Jack, ran to the car and drove away quickly.
When Mary got home, she ran into her room and started crying. Less than an hour later there was a knock on the door. Mary didn't answer because she knew now that it was Jack. Get out of here! She screamed.
Mary, my darling, open the door, it was all harmless. The woman I danced with has been married for 2 years, Jack yelled back.
Too bad for you, huh, otherwise she would have got laid anyway? Said Mary angrily. Now get out of here!
Jack walked away sad. She got in her car and waited another hour before driving away. Suddenly the phone rang. Hello?
Hi Mary, it's me, Joe. How are you? How am I supposed to be, Joe, stupid question!
Mary! Jack told the truth, that one woman went to dance school once and just wanted to teach Jack to dance, now talk to her. Because she's doing really shitty, she's sitting next to me and blaming herself for it. Do you like to talk to her mary? Yes, give it to me, Joe! Said Mary tearfully.
Said Jack. Hello? Said Mary sadly.
How are you my sweetheart? Should I come over? Asked Jack.
Yes Jack, I need you, come please! Said Mary.
Ok baby, I'll be right there and don't be sad anymore, ok?
Jack kissed Joe on the cheek and thanked him.
No problem, he said. If I don't get any, you should at least keep Mary.
There was a knock on the door. Come on in Jack, it's open! Hello my darling!
It's the truth, I didn't mean to hurt you, said Jack.
It's okay, Jack, sometimes I exaggerate a bit, I really believed that you were just playing with me.
No, my darling, definitely not, I don't play with you, you can believe that. Come here and dance with me, my darling, said Jack, taking Mary by the hand. A slow song was playing on the radio. Both danced closely to the song. Jack kissed Mary on the neck.
Mary liked it so much that she took Jack by the hand and went into her room with her. Mary lay down on her bed. Come here Jack, lie down with me.
Jack took off her shoes and lay down on Mary. Kiss me, Jack, Mary whispered in Jack's ear. Jack gave her a long, tender kiss.
What you up to? Jack asked very quietly. Touch me, Jack, was all she said.
Jack took off Mary's shirt and kissed her breasts gently. Mary gave a short groan. But Jack smothered her moans with a kiss. Jack, I'm still too shy to touch you, she said, embarrassed. No problem at all Mary, just enjoy it, we have all the time in the world. Jack, you are so understanding. I don't want to push you my darling, said Jack.
Jack's hand continued to slide down. Until she got her hand in Mary's pants. Mary shrank back. I'm not ready yet, Jack, I'm sorry.
I'll give you as much time as you need Mary. Jack and Mary lay in bed for a long time and kissed. When Mary checked her watch, it was already 8pm. What do you want to do today, Jack? Jack? Are you asleep?
Jack said nothing, just looked at her. And the phone rang again. Hello?
Hello mary how are you? Do you still know who is it?
No, I don't know who is there? Jack looked curiously at Mary.
Does the name Bettina mean anything to you? Laughed the strange voice.
Do you say bettina? Ahhhhh !!!!! Hello Bettina! My God, how are you, haven't heard from you in a long time. Bettina was Mary's ex-girlfriend.
I wanted to ask you if you have any plans today, we could have a drink Mary, because of the old days, Mary?
Unfortunately it's bad today, my wife is with me right now, said Mary happily.
You have a wife? Mary is it you, eh? How long have you known her?
I've known her since yesterday and we've been together since yesterday!
Can I speak to you, Mary? Mary asked Jack if she would like to speak to her. Yes, for all I care, give it to me, said Jack, not exactly enthusiastic.
Hello, what's your name? Asked Bettina. I'm Jack, what do you want to talk to me?
Well, I just want to get to know my ex's wife, said Bettina.
For what? And goodbye. Jack just hung up. What are you doing jack Why did you hang up? Asked Mary.
She just doesn't pay any attention to you, lets you down. Pretend you don't exist and then she just calls.
Forget her Mary, you have me now, don't mourn after her, it won't do any good, believe me my darling. You have me now and I will never let you down, Jack said seriously. You're right Jack, I only love you and no one else.
Shall we go play pool, Mary? Do you feel like? Yes very much!
Wait Jack, I'll call Joe quickly, maybe he'd like to go? Oh shit, I promised him that I would call Sabrina, well, I'll do that in a minute. So they both called. Joe immediately agreed. And Sabrina came too. They all met at the Beers. That was the name of the place where Mary and Joe always went. They met Sabrina in front of the bar. Joe was already inside. Hello Sabrina, may I introduce you to my wife, Mary.
Hello Mar, nice to meet you. Hello Sabrina, I'm also happy.
Ok guys, let's go in! Well where's Joe? Asked Mary. Ah, there it is.
Joe, as promised, this is Sabrina, Jack laughed. Hello Sabrina, said Joe very shyly. Have you reserved a table for us yet, Joe? Mary asked him. Yes I have. Comes with.
Joe put the balls on as always. I'll be right back, said Jack.
Order me a beer guys. Who likes toast? Asked Sabrina. I !!!! shouted Joe. Then the waitress came. Mary ordered. So Joe gets a white splash, Sabrina what do you want? A beer! And Jack gets one too.
And I'll take ... just a moment. I'll think twice, okay? Mary, I'll finish you today, Joe boasted. Well we'll see, said Mary with a serious look. So here you go, a beer for you Mary, a beer for you and, as always, a splash for Joe. But Silvia, I said I was still thinking, Mary said to the waitress. But then Mary thought about it, turned around and saw Jack sitting at the bar with a laugh. You're mean Jack, she yelled over.
Jack came to the table and was still laughing. Mary, you can always be fooled Ha, Ha, laughed Jack. But it was sweet of you, my darling, whispered Mary and kissed Jack. Buy an apartment! Jack said jealously. I have one, said Mary right back. And I have one too! What are you doing Sabrina? Asked Joe Sabrina. Well, actually everything you do, and if I'm not doing that, I'll hang around with Jack, Sabrina said. I'll do that too, but I've only known Jack yesterday. Otherwise I'm with Mary. You, Joe, do you like to go to the cinema? Yes, why? Asked Joe. Well, a good film is coming out tomorrow, it's an action film, do you like to see something like that? Sabrina asked curiously. Yes, of course, shall we go tomorrow? He asked. Yes, great, I'm with you, Sabrina said happily.
You, Jack, I think they're developing something! Said Mary very softly.
Yes, you're right, Mary, be glad Joe has a nice pastime too. Shall we play pool or chat and flirt now? Jack asked. Both! Said Joe immediately. Yes, I have already pocketed my 3rd balls, Mary said happily. Well, just wait, my darling, I'll finish you off, Jack said seriously with a smile. Joe already let go of the sentence today, but I'll show you, she said. Just wait, said Sabrina. Oh oh, said Jack, a strong woman mixes up, may I introduce SABRINA !!!!! You're so stupid! Sabrina laughed. Do you want to have a drink? Asked the waitress. Yes, please, Silvia, do the same again, said Joe.
I'm inviting you all over today because I'm in a good mood, Joe said to everyone.
Otherwise not? Jack asked ignorantly. Jack what kind of monkey rode you today? Asked Sabrina. There we go again, my best friend, just as stupid as me, said Jack. But I can answer that question for you anyway, Sabrina, I think it was ..... MARY !!! Mary gave Jack a light nudge in the ribs. I'm not a monkey, laughed Mary. Time went by and by, and at some point everyone realized that they had drunk too much. Especially Jack. She just staggered around somehow, couldn't really stand anymore. Guys, I think I'm full, stammered Jack. And for this sentence it took her 5 minutes. Mary was actually still sober, just like Joe. The two were just tipsy. Sabrina was just as drunk as Jack. Joe checked his watch, it was 1.30 a.m. Shall we go home slowly then? Asked Mary Jack. Yes, let's go home, but I won't be able to drive the car anymore, will you take me home, Sabi? Asked Jack, already tired.
Sure, said Sabrina. OK! Jack, do you come to me in the morning, I'll get up earlier, then we can cuddle a little more, asked Mary. Yeah sure, my darling, I'm sure I won't miss that, said Jack happily. But I'll miss you so much again, my darling, would you like to sleep with me today, Mary? What? Said Mary excitedly.
Yeah, come over to me, I've got a bathtub, Jack laughed. Ok, let's go then, said Mary. Me and Sabrina will have a drink elsewhere.
Joe still paid because he had promised. When they stood by the car, Mary was amazed. Wow, you have a great car, she said. Jack immediately glared at her. No, my darling, nothing against your car, because yours is bigger.
Would you like to hear something special? Asked Sabrina. No, it doesn't matter, put something good in, said Jack. Jack and Mary sat tightly in the back seat.
Joe sat in the front and chatted with Sabrina about God and the world. Unfortunately I don't have a car yet, said Joe. That will come soon Joe, don't give up hope, laughed Sabrina. Are you all right Jack? Asked Mary.
Yes. And you my darling? It's so nice to sit next to you, do you know that? Said Mary. I am feeling the same.
Well, you two, are you still okay anyway, are you still alive? Asked Sabrina.
Yes, very good, but you can drive Sabi a little slower, otherwise I'll get upset and then I can't guarantee anything, said Jack.
After a while they were standing in front of Jack's front door. So you two, get out, we're here. Finally, Jack, my sweetie, you can't move, the way to you is always so annoying to me.
Yes, of course, please move everyone because of Sabi, because after all, she is our chauffeur in emergencies. Ok, Joe, see you at work tomorrow, bye Sabrina, hope to see you again, said Mary. Definitely, said Sabrina. Joe take care, said Jack and gave Sabrina another kiss on the mouth. You Jack, she's really special, take care of her, Sabrina whispered to Jack and nodded at Mary. I know, Sabi, I think it's serious this time, I've never had it as fast as it did with her, and you know me for that, said Jack. Yeah, I know you way too well, so good night Jack. Good night mary !!
Then they drove away. Ok, now just find the key and let's go, Jack said to himself. Which floor do you live on, Jack? In the 5th unfortunately.
But already with an elevator, right? Yes, of course, without him I'd be dead long ago, said Jack, already a little tired.
Jack pressed the button to get the elevator. It's kind of a nice area anyway, said Mary. Yes, unfortunately only in the ass, smiled Jack.
They went into the elevator. Jack hugged her. Did you like the day sweetheart? Jack asked. Yes, thank you, said Mary, and kissed Jack. Get out! Said Jack suddenly. The door to the apartment was right next to the elevator. It was painted black and had lots of lesbian stickers on it. Come on in my darling, said Jack. Mary came in and the first thing she did was look around. Wow, baby, you have a big apartment!
Yes, exactly 100m2, I've been living there for 3 years. Come on, I'll show you what Mary! They went into the large living room. Look, I did that. She showed Mary a large picture on the wall, it showed 2 women hugging, but it was all blurry. What is the name of the picture? Mary asked curiously. They say, "The love I never had," said Jack.
Seriously? Asked Mary. Yes, seriously, the picture expresses a dream, or rather a wishful thinking, explained Jack. Do you like something to drink mary?
Yes, please, a beer, but a cold one, asked Mary. You can always find cold beer with me, Mary. Jack came back with 2 beers, please! Jack, may I ask you something? What? What is your real name? I don't really want to reveal that, darling, but I'll tell you. I'm Diane, but I really hate the name, so Mary never call me that, okay? Ok, Jack, I won't be, I promise! She said to Jack. Are you tired mary Not really, why? Come on, my darling, she said to Mary and gave her a tender kiss. She went with her into the bedroom, where there was a huge bed. Sit down, my darling, she said to Mary. Mary sat down.
Suddenly Jack began to undress until all she had on was her boxer shorts. Mary was embarrassed. Jack was wearing boxer shorts that were printed with lots of women lying on top of each other. Jack walked up to Mary, took her hand, and pulled her towards him. Mary was rooted to the spot. In front of her Jack and that too naked. Mary didn't know what to do anymore. But Jack helped her. Jack began to take them off, but only her shirt.
And pressed her body to Mary's. Mary liked that. She had no idea, she had never slept with a woman. She always wanted to, but her ex didn't. Unlike Jack, she had had many women in bed. Most of the time it was just a one-night stand, once it was real love. But Jack felt that this was also a result of love. Mary didn't dare to go at first, but then she too began to undress Jack, at least what she was still wearing. Jack pulled away from Mary and lay down on the bed.
Mary lay down next to it. I'm ready Jack, she whispered to Jack. Really? Jack asked again. Honestly, I want to sleep with you Jack, Mary said softly. Jack and Mary kissed. While they were doing this, Jack opened her pants with one hand and ran her hand in until she could feel her labia. Mary groaned loudly when Jack touched her.
You can touch me too, my darling, but only if you want to. As soon as Jack said that, she felt Mary's hand between her legs. Jack groaned too. Jack started rubbing Mary's clit. Mary couldn't take it any longer, she began to kiss Jack hard. Mary was getting stormier. Mary, not so stormy, we have time, take it easy, my darling. Jack kissed her all over until she finally got to her navel. She stroked Mary's clit with her tongue and wiggled it back and forth. Then Jack came up to her again and Mary gently kissed her breasts and gently bit into them. Jack was already very excited. Then they kissed like mad. Jack slid her fingers into Mary and Mary let out a slight scream when she felt Jack's fingers inside her. She felt the movement in her. You're already wet, Jack whispered to her. Take off your pants, Mary, it'll be easier. Mary did. Jack, I like to feel your tongue one more time. Jack granted her wish with pleasure. Very slowly Jack ran her tongue over Mary's body. Suddenly Mary stopped. What is Mary? Asked Jack. Mary leaned under the bed. Jack looked at her unsuspectingly. Then Mary took out a small tube. It was a tube of massage oil. Rub me in with it Jack, said Mary. Jack took the tube and looked at it carefully. Oh, even stimulating and strawberry flavored, Jack laughed, and opened the tube. Put a few drops on her fingers and started rubbing Mary's breasts. Tenderly she ran it over her hardened nipples. Everything was getting hot in Mary, she was getting more and more aroused. There was a wonderful smell of strawberries in the air. Jack licked and sucked on her nipples. You taste so good honey, Jack whispered. Mary forgot everything around her, she only felt Jack's delicate hands sliding over her body.
Mary felt like she was in a sea of rose petals gently caressing her body. So warm and soft. Jack's hands slid lower. She took the oil and dropped a few drops into Mary's navel. She felt Mary's body begin to shake. Jack kissed her and licked the oil from Mary's navel.
Then Jack started nibbling on Mary's earlobe, moaning into it. Mary was driving it crazy. She was breathing faster and faster. While Jack kissed her, she massaged Mary's labia. Jack thought that Mary's body was already very hot from the oil. Both rubbed their bodies together. Jack's body got very warm. She couldn't go on anymore
She didn't want to stop either. She just wanted to merge with Mary. Touch them, kiss them, and just love them. Mary was already so wet that Jack thought it would drip down any moment.
Jack quickly slid her tongue down. Because she would love to taste Mary's love juice again. Mary took Jack's hand and guided it deep inside her. She moaned loudly, but Jack kissed her quickly, still touching Mary's clitoris. She moved her fingers faster and faster. Mary suddenly felt a strong tingling sensation in her. Mary sensed that it was going to happen soon. Both started kissing wildly. Jack didn't stop moving her fingers. And she felt how Mary's clit swelled more and more. Mary couldn't take it any longer. She gave herself completely to Jack's touch. Mary suddenly started shaking.
And Jack's fingers got faster and faster. Mary moved her whole body. Jack, I'll be right there, she moaned in a shaky voice.
Jack kissed her wildly. And then Mary came, she screamed out loud and could really hear the pulsation in her body. Then Mary just let herself fall into Jack's arms. She was so happy. Jack felt Mary's body relax. I've needed something like this for a long time, whispered Mary. Was it nice? Asked Jack. Beautiful, said Mary. It was now 5:30 a.m. Wow Jack, it's pretty late. I can get up again in a few hours, said Mary sadly. You'll get the workday behind you too, she reassured Jack. They talked for a long time.
Until they slowly fell asleep hand in hand. Mary snuggled very close to Jack. She felt really comfortable next to Jack. The next morning, Mary was the first to wake up. She checked her watch and was shocked.
She overslept. She should be at work an hour ago.
She shook Jack out of her sweet dreams. Jack wake up! She said firmly. Jack! Now wake up! She screamed. When Jack woke up, she was still very dazed from the night. What is it, my darling, what's the matter? She asked Jack. I overslept, damn it, Jack get up, she yelled. Oh god, are you always so early in the morning Mary? Asked Jack. Mary hurriedly got her clothes out of the closet and got dressed in no time. Jack pulled on her jeans and went into the bathroom.
Hurry up, Jack, I don't want to get in trouble, urged Mary.
Yeah, I'm already done anyway, said Jack, annoyed. I'm driving you by car.
They both ran out into the street to the car. Got in and drove off quickly. Jack stepped on the gas. But Mary couldn't go fast enough. As soon as they got to work, Mary ran out of the car. Ciao Jack, call me, Mary shouted afterwards. Don't I get a kiss from you? Jack asked. But Mary could no longer hear her, she was already gone. Jack was kind of angry now. If she was in a hurry, she would still kiss Mary. But Jack thought that she could visit her sweetheart on lunch break. Hello Joe, said Mary nervously. Oh god mary where are you You're lucky, Mr. Mayerhofer isn't here yet. He'll be a little later, said Joe. I overslept with Jack. Did you have a lot of fun yesterday? Joe asked curiously.
Yes, we did, will you please give me my documents, I still have so much to do today, said Mary. The morning passed relatively quickly. And Mary worked a lot. Joe had spoken to Sabrina for a long time yesterday. And they want to see each other again. The day went pretty well for both of them. Suddenly the phone rang on Mary's table. Hello? What can I do for you, said Mary, already annoyed. Hi, my darling, what's the matter with you, I didn't even get a kiss from you in the morning, asked Jack worriedly.
Yes, Jack, I'm sorry, I was in a hurry, but I don't have time to talk to you now, I still have a lot to do, said Mary. Ciao Jack, we hear each other. Mary, my baby, don't hang up I ..... But Mary hung up. Jack didn't know what to think anymore, all morning she only thought about Mary and why she was suddenly so strange. And the phone rang again. Jack, I told you I didn't have time, I'll call you then, said Mary. But it wasn't Jack, it was Bettina. Jack? Who is Jack? Asked Bettina. Oh hello Bettina, I didn't know it was you, how are you? Mary asked happily. I'm fine, but I don't believe your friend, why did she just hang up, I didn't think that was nice of her, complained Bettina. Don't blame her, she was in a bad mood, said Mary. Well, actually I wanted to ask you if we could meet sometime, because I still have to make up for you a lot as far as the old days are concerned, do you have anything before Mary? asked Bettina politely.
Yes, come over and pick me up, I'm on my lunch break now, said Mary.
Ok, see you then, ciao Mary. Who was that, Mary? Asked Joe.
Oh no one, I have to leave for a moment, said Mary, and ran out of the office.
Joe had no idea what was going on, but he was worried about Mary.
Time passed and passed. Joe was now on break too. When he left the office and went out into the street, he saw Jack standing in front of the front door. She had a rose in her hand and a tear ran down her face. Jack quickly wiped it off, but Joe had already seen it. Hello Joe, how did it go with Sabi yesterday? It went wonderfully, said Joe. We'll meet again today and go to the cinema. And who are you waiting for, Jack? Asked Joe. Who am I waiting for, Joe? To my darling, Jack smiled. You missed her, she's gone, Jack. Where did she go Jack asked unsuspectingly.
I have no idea, someone called and she's met with them now, Joe said worried. I'll call you, Joe, I'll go find her quickly, said Jack, and drove away in the car. Where could she be? Thought Jack. Jack drove to the place they were always in and she found Mary there too. Mary was sitting at a table with a woman. It was Bettina. Jack was just about to go to the table and say hello to Mary when she saw that Mary gave this woman a kiss on the mouth. Mary and Bettina laughed happily. Jack was rooted to the spot and couldn't believe it. She watched the two of them laugh and enjoy themselves. Then Jack felt angry and tears ran down her face. Suddenly Mary turned and looked Jack straight in the eye. Jack looked at her as if she could see through Mary. Mary got up and went to her. Hello baby I already missed you, she said to Jack. And I thought I was the only woman for you, Jack said quietly and tearfully to Mary and ran out of the bar. Jack, stay here, shouted Mary, pulling Jack by the sleeve. Get out of here Mary, leave me alone, I never want to see you again, she said as she jerked her hand away from Mary. Jack! Where do you want to go? said Mary sadly. Away from you forever, Jack yelled after her and got into the car. Jack was so angry that she overlooked the traffic light and drove over it when it was red. All the cars honked after her. Jack howled and she wasn't easily vulnerable, but this time she was crying. She thought about the last 2 days she had spent with Mary. And how nice the time was. The touches, the kisses, the long conversations. Was it all just a lie? Had Mary played something for her? Was that all? How should it go on? All of these questions tormented Jack. She couldn't think clearly anymore. Suddenly the cell phone rang. It was Sabrina. But Jack didn't want to talk to anyone. Shortly afterwards the doorbell rang again. It was Mary, Jack was wondering whether to pick up or not. Jack didn't answer. So that she could hear everything again? No thanks, Jack didn't need that now. She pulled up on the freeway. She didn't know where she was going, the main thing was far away. To where no one knows her and no one talks to her. Jack knew she couldn't drive away from the pain. But it was a calm feeling that Jack had. Her tears kept coming that she couldn't hold back. What would she do without Mary? She had never loved a woman like she did. Jack could have any woman in the world because she didn't look bad. But she only wanted one and she had lost it now. Jack had been driving the freeway for a long time now.
Mary stood in the street for a long time, watching the traffic. She cried. Bettina took her in her arms and comforted her. Bettina didn't want anything more from Mary, she just wanted to apologize for what she had done to Mary. Bettina already had a girlfriend and was already engaged. The kiss didn't mean anything either, it was just a little final kiss goodbye, or rather a little kiss of friendship.
If she had known Jack was going to freak out like that, she wouldn't have.
I'm so sorry, Mary, I didn't mean that, said Bettina worriedly.
Bettina took Mary in her arms, but Mary pushed her away again. Now she just wanted to be hugged by Jack and no one else. Suddenly Joe came and saw the two of them standing. Mary ran to him and hugged him tearfully. What's the matter, Mary? Asked Joe. It's out of Joe, Jack is gone. She drove away in the car, Mary sobbed. What happened? Asked Joe. Far too much, Jack saw me while I kissed Bettina a little goodbye. And then she just ran out of the bar and drove away in the car. I'm worried, Joe, said Mary, with tears on her face. Come on Mary, we're going, you come to my house, and you too, Bettina. Bettina and Joe knew each other from before, Joe always believed that Bettina was only friends with Mary. Bettina, Mary and Joe made their way to Joe. Mary couldn't stop crying, she almost collapsed. Joe helped her up again and they walked on. By the time they got to Joe's, Mary had calmed down. Mary lay down on Joe's bed and fell asleep immediately. What do you think Joe, where's Jack? Asked Bettina. Unfortunately, I don't know, Bettina, I wish I did, look at her, she is sleeping and has calmed down, said Joe.
Poor Mary, once in love and then something like that, I didn't do it on purpose, said Bettina. I know Bettina, you can't help it anyway. But until Jack is back we have to stay with Mary, she couldn't stand it alone at home. said Joe worriedly. Suddenly Mary thrashed around like mad. She had a nightmare. Jack, come to me! Jack where are you going Yeah !!!!!!, shouted Mary. Wake her up Joe, urged Bettina. Joe shook her until she woke up. Mary hit Joe. Get out of here, I want to see Jack, she screamed. Mary calm down, said Joe sternly. Then Mary came to. She started crying and clung to Joe. It's going to be all right again, Mary, just let it all out, Joe reassured her. Mary, should I try calling her again? asked Bettina worried. Mary nodded tearfully. Jack's phone rang. But Jack didn't want to answer. She drove on. She pulled off the freeway at a small rest stop. It was evening now and Jack still hasn't returned. Sabrina was worried too, so she called Joe. Joe told her everything, he didn't know what to do next. Come to me, said Joe, we have to take care of Mary now, besides, I miss you, said Joe excitedly. Really? You miss me Joe, that's really sweet of you, yes I'll come to you, said Sabrina and no longer knew what to think. Their feelings were mixed. She was sad about Jack and was looking forward to Joe. An hour had passed before Sabrina knocked on Joe's door. Hi Joe, she said and kissed Joe, how is Mary? She asked. Well, not so good, you can imagine anyway, he said. I'll talk to her, she said, patting Joe on the shoulder. Sabrina came into the room. Mary saw her, started crying, and hugged Sabrina. Sabrina, help me, I don't know what to do, help me, Mary sobbed. I'm trying everything Mary, believe me, said Sabrina. It is better now if you sleep, said Bettina, and covered Mary. Bettina, Joe and Sabrina sat in the kitchen and talked about where Jack could be. I'm going to look for her with Joe, said Sabrina. Bettina you stay with Mary. It wouldn't look very original if we found Jack and you're there, said Sabrina and laughed.
Ok, let's go, Joe, we can't waste any time. They both went out of the apartment and got into the car. Has Jack done this before, Sabrina? Asked Joe. No, never, and if so, she came back after an hour, said Sabrina. Joe and Sabrina drove into the bar again, but no Jack. They drove to the Beers, Joe looked around the bar, asked Silvia about Jack. But Silvia hadn't seen her. Joe, I'll call you when I see her, said Silvia. They drove to Jack's apartment, but in vain. They drove to their company, the boss was worried too, but he didn't know where Jack had gone either. He had last seen her during lunch and that was 8 hours ago. Where can she be, Sabrina? Asked Joe. I have no idea where she could be, we've been looking, Sabrina said desperately. Meanwhile, Mary had fallen asleep again. Bettina kept watch next to her bed. She was so sorry for Mary, she couldn't even help her. Let's go back to the Beers and have a look, Joe urged nervously. Joe give up, Jack isn't there, and Silvia said she'll call you when she sees Jack, Sabrina said.
But if she doesn't see Jack, Joe said excitedly. Joe stop, you're going crazy, come on, let's go home again. By the time Sabrina and Joe arrived, Mary was sound asleep. Hello Bettina, did Jack call? Asked Joe. No, unfortunately, she said. Thank God she's asleep, Sabrina said calmly. You joe, I'll be going home then, too, said Bettina, when it was now midnight. Ok, Bettina, thank you for being there, that really helped us, said Joe and Sabrina. Joe, I'm going to sleep with you tonight, because of Mary, Sabrina said. Joe sat by Mary's bed for a long time. Mary was his best friend and he felt so sorry for her, but he couldn't help her. Suddenly Joe's cell phone rang. He thought it was Jack, but it was only Mr. Mayerhofer who was upset why neither of them had returned to work. But he was a casual boss and gave Mary a week off to relax. Joe thanked him a hundred times for it. But Joe should kindly come back tomorrow. Then he hung up. Joe was already tired and lay down on the couch in the living room, Sabrina lay down next to him. They both fell asleep very quickly. Jack didn't call back that night. When Mary woke up the morning after, she didn't want to get up. But she didn't need that either, because Sabrina brought her breakfast to bed. Joe was already at work. Good morning, Mary, she said with a smile. It's not a good morning for me because Jack isn't next to me, said Mary sadly.
Mary, I have to disappoint you, Jack hasn't called back and this is getting pretty serious now, Sabrina told her. Oh god Sabrina, it's my fault she's gone, it's all my fault and I couldn't even stop her, Mary sobbed and hugged Sabrina tightly. It's not your fault Mary, stop it, it wasn't your fault Jack's gone, Sabrina reassured her. It was already 11.30 a.m. Joe called Sabrina. Have you heard from Jack? He asked. No, still nothing, she replied. Jack's boss called me and told me that Jack still hasn't come to work even though she's usually on time, he said desperately. Ok Joe, watch out, we'll wait until tonight, if she's not there yet, we probably have to ......., Sabrina stopped talking. Report missing, he finished, although it was difficult for him. Then he hung up. Mary, I'd rather tell you the truth, Sabrina said to her. Jack didn't come to work, we'll wait until evening, then we'll have to go to the police, she said. No, Sabrina, don't say that, don't say that you ..... oh god, Sabrina, it's my fault, said Mary. She got up, but suddenly she collapsed. Sabrina rushed over to Mary.
Mary! Come get up Mary! What about you? She yelled. But Mary stopped moving. Sabrina ran to the phone and called the ambulance and told him everything while the doctors drove off. The doctor on the phone told her that it was probably a shock that she received. It didn't take them long to get there, a quarter of an hour at the most. Sabrina quickly opened the door. The doctors looked at Mary and gave her a stimulating shot. Mary woke up immediately and didn't remember what was happening to her. What's her name? The doctor asked Sabrina. Her name is Mary, she replied. Mary? Do you know where you are? Asked the doctor in a loud tone. Mary just nodded, but said nothing. We have to take her with us, she is in severe shock, said one doctor. They carried Mary down on a couch. Sabrina came with me. They carried her into the car and drove off. Meanwhile, Sabrina called Joe and told him everything. Joe imagined all sorts of thoughts. He was worried about Mary and Jack. As soon as they got to the hospital, they took Mary to the intensive care unit, where they examined Mary more closely.
Sabrina was waiting in the waiting room. After a few hours, Joe came by too. Do you already know what he asked Sabrina and gave her a kiss.
No, I haven't been able to ask a doctor yet. Nobody was there until now, she says worriedly. I've been waiting for 5 hours now. Yes, Sabrina, it's already 6 p.m. Then the doctor finally came. Are you Mary's girlfriend?
Yes i am what is it? Is she okay? asked Sabrina. Yes, she is doing according to the circumstances, she will get back on her feet, but at the moment she is not available, the doctor said soothingly. Can we see her doctor? Asked Joe. Yes, come with me, but don't ask her about a Jack, that's when we noticed she had a seizure, said the doctor. It's called a Jack, corrected Joe.
Joe and Sabrina went into Mary's room, she was now in a single room. Mary had a lot of tubes everywhere, she had to be fed artificially because the shock made her not want to eat.
Hello Mary, it's Sabrina, she said, taking Mary's hand. Mary squeezed but had closed her eyes. Hello Mary, you remember me, it's Joe, he said. Mary couldn't say anything yet, but she could think. Mary saw images of Jack in her mind. It was only 2 days, but it was the most beautiful in Mary's life. The 2 days went off like a movie in her, she saw the beautiful moments with Jack. How she got to know Jack, how they made love. All night. Mary could hear Joe and Sabrina, but couldn't answer. Joe and Sabrina stayed a while, but then had to leave because visiting hours were over. Jack still didn't answer. Joe and Sabrina said it was time to go to the police. And they did. We want to report who is missing, said Sabrina as they went into the guard room. How long has the person been gone? Asked the policeman. For 26 hours! Said Joe, only now realizing the situation. I'm sorry, but we can only make a missing person report if the person doesn't answer for 48 hours, said the policeman. Joe and Sabrina looked at each other and felt helpless. What should you do now? Nothing at all in such a case.
That was the bad thing. There is nothing you can do but wait. Let's go home, Joe, we can only wait and hope that Jack will get in touch after all, said Sabrina. Then Bettina Joe called. Have you heard anything new? She asked. No, unfortunately, Mary is in the hospital and has a severe shock, she collapsed this morning, he said.
What? Oh god, poor people, how is she? Asked Bettina, shocked.
According to the circumstances, she wants Jack back, he said. Bettina understood that. She had never seen Mary so in love. In the bar she told how happy she is with Jack. She shared how they met and how in love she is. She would never forgive herself for this little mistake with Bettina. Come on, Joe, let's go home, said Sabrina. They didn't want to go by car, so they walked. They didn't say a word on the way home. Both thought of Mary and Jack. Sabrina suddenly started crying. Sabrina, stop it, please. I won't be able to take it any longer, said Joe, hugging Sabrina. Joe, she's my best friend, we've been through so much, I love her so much and I'm worried about her, Sabrina said with a sad look. I know my darling, but let's not give up our courage now, come on, let's go, said Joe. Joe and Sabrina were finally home. They were both very tired and went to sleep straight away. Joe wasn't really that much with Sabrina, but they got closer and closer. Every day they saw each other, the connection grew stronger. Joe felt very comfortable around Sabrina. Mary got better after a while, she slept soundly. She still had nightmares. The night passed pretty quickly. As soon as Joe fell asleep, he had to get up again. He gave Sabrina a little kiss before going to work. He didn't feel like working anymore, the table next to him was empty. Mary's work was still on top. And a few scribbled pieces of paper with "Jack" embellished on it. He thought about Mary all day. It wasn't easy for him to cope with the situation. After all, Mary was his best friend. Sabrina slept a little more before she got up too. She made breakfast, sat at the table and ate.
Suddenly the phone rang. It was Mary's doctor. I have very good news for you. Mary has recovered a little, she can talk again, but she still has terrible nightmares. I would suggest you come over so she can see a familiar face, he said. Sabrina hung up immediately and called Joe. Mary can talk again, Joe, she said quickly, and hung up. She ran out of the house and got straight into her car. She has never driven as fast as that day. As soon as she arrived at the hospital, Sabrina immediately rushed into Mary's room. Hello Mary, she said, taking her hand gently. How are you baby she asked softly. Hello Sabi !, was Mary's first sentence. Thank you, I'm fine, she said in a shaky and hoarse voice. I'm so tired and so cold, said Mary.
That was all she said. But Sabrina was already glad that she came to at all. Sabrina took the blanket and put it over Mary. It was actually cold everywhere. Mary's forehead was very wet. Sabrina dried her forehead with a soft towel. Sabrina suddenly felt that Mary wanted to say something, because Mary opened her mouth, but said nothing.
What do you want to tell me mary Come tell me Sabrina said softly.
I ... I ... love her! Mary stammered heavily. I know Mary, she couldn't say more. Sleep now Mary, you need sleep badly, Mary reassured her. I can't sleep, Sabi, I want her, I want her now, said Mary sadly. Ok Mary, I have an idea, now please remember which direction was she going? Sabrina asked. Mary told her everything.
Sabrina suddenly had an idea. She called Joe quickly. Joe, I have a brilliant idea. Jack safely drove onto the autobahn, because we looked everywhere here and couldn't find her, I'll drive off now and then call you, my darling, she said cheerfully again. Ok, Sabrina, great idea, go right away, said Joe excitedly. Sabrina kissed Mary again on the cheek and started walking. Mary, I'll find Jack for you, I promise you, she said. Mary suddenly put a small smile on her face. It was so nice to see Mary laughing again, if only a little smile. Sabrina went to her car. She got in and drove off in no time at all. She tried again ma
Reaching Jack, but in vain. She was finally on the autobahn. She drove to herself without any idea where she was actually going. Joe called Jack's work. But Alex still didn't know where Jack was. Mary woke up briefly, it was the first time that she had no nightmare. The doctor brought her something to eat. Thank you very much, but actually I'm not hungry, stammered Mary. But it would be in your interest if you eat then you will regain your strength, he said.
So Mary took an apple. But she made herself eat it.
Joe was already closed and wanted to stop by Mary. He strolled through the streets and looked around. He just didn't like it because everything was so gray around him. He had finally reached the hospital. He knocked on Mary's door. Mary even got up, even though the doctor had forbidden her. She opened the door.
When she saw Joe, she fell on his neck. Hi Joe, you see, I'm feeling a little better, she said, and smiled a little. How are you Mary? Joe asked worriedly. But Mary didn't answer. She sits down on her bed. I have something for you, said Joe. He took something out of his pocket.
It was a picture of Jack, he got it from Alex. He gave it to Mary.
Oh god ... Joe, cried Mary. Mary suddenly began to tears again, which one can understand. But this time she smiled. She remembered the beautiful days. Jack smiled seductively. Just like on the first day. Joe, my god, where did you get that? She asked. That's how you have your relationships, no, I got it from Alex, he has photos of every employee, said Joe. Joe, would you please go now, said Mary. Why is that? He asked.
I would like to be alone with Jack for a moment, she said through tears.
Joe understood this, of course, and said goodbye to Mary. Then he went out of the room. Jack my dear don't you know how much I love you
Why are you doing this to me, I love you and I'm so sorry, said Mary, staring at the picture. She wished Jack were here and she could talk to her. But Jack didn't come back that evening either.
Sabrina was still driving on the autobahn, further away she saw a sign saying "Raststation" after 500 meters. Suddenly she had a feeling that she herself didn't know where it came from. So she pulled off the freeway. As soon as she arrived she fell out of the car and ran to the rest stop
She quickly got herself something to drink. When she was about to pay at the cash register, she heard two women talking. But do you know who really didn't look bad? Asked one. Ah, I know who you mean, surely the one that was there yesterday? Asked the other. Yeah, the ones with the damn pretty eyes. If she wasn't taken, then you'd know what, said the woman. Sabrina went to both of them. Who are you two talking about? She asked curiously. Oh, from someone we don't even know ourselves, she said. No, there was such a cute girl here yesterday. We are there almost every day because we work nearby. And there was the one woman here. Looked a bit confused, and we just asked her what she got. And then she told us that she had had a huge argument with her wife.
She didn't really say anything more, and she looked so damn good, why do you ask? Said the young woman. Oh God, that was Jack, she hasn't come home for 3 days and we're looking for her, Sabrina said excitedly. Where did she go, did she say something? Asked Sabrina.
No, she really didn't say anything else, said the woman. Shit, Sabrina cursed. And ran out of the bar. She got into her car and continued in the same direction. She called Joe. Joe, good news, someone saw Jack but has no idea where she might have gone, she said. Suddenly Sabrina got a message on her cell phone. Oh god, it can't be, said Sabrina in shock. It was Jack. Hello Sabi, my little one, please don't worry about me, I'm where the sun kisses the horizon. I'm so sorry for everything. Please tell Mary that I will always love her. Take care of her. Your Jack. Oh god, shit, said Sabrina.
She tried to call Jack, but she didn't answer. Sabrina called Joe again. Joe, Jack answered, unfortunately only by text message, but she doesn't answer when I try to call, Sabrina said. Sabrina send something back to her, now we have her, said Joe happily. Sabrina hung up quickly. She texted Jack several text messages: Hello Jack, I don't remember how stupid you really are. Contact me urgently. Mary is very bad. If I were you, I would take care of her. She is in the hospital. She had a nervous breakdown and I don't know what to do anymore. Jack, please call me, please don't be so stupid. Your Sabi. Sabrina waited, but Jack didn't call. Sabrina was about to start the engine again and drive home. But then the phone rang, but Sabrina couldn't see a number. Hello? Who is it? She asked. Sabi, it's me, please don't say anything now, said the voice.
It was actually Jack. Jack, shit where are you, damn, we're so worried already, are you okay? Jack? Asked Sabrina and started to cry. Yes, Sabi, I'm fine, ok, Sabi where is she? Where's my baby? Asked Jack. Sabrina noticed in Jack's voice that she was crying. Jack, listen carefully, I'm at the rest stop where you were yesterday, I found out about this from a couple of people you spoke to. Come here and we'll go to Mary's at once, said Sabrina. Ok Sabrina, I'll be right there. Sabrina waited 2 hours. Suddenly she saw Jack's car coming in the distance. Jack drove pretty fast. Then she stopped a few meters from Sabrina's car and got out. Jack's clothes were very dirty, they had oil stains all over them. Jack, you idiot, I'll never forgive you, what are you doing? I think you're completely freaked out, we were terribly worried about you, she screamed and shook Jack around. I'm so sorry Sabi, oh God how am I supposed to make up for that? She asked. Sabrina smelled Jack's breath, she was drunk. Because when they went to Sabrina's car, Jack could no longer walk normally. She went once on the left, once on the right. Sabrina immediately called Joe.
You Joe, Jack is with me, we found her. And we're going to see Mary now, Sabrina said excitedly. You Sabrina, visiting hours are over now, we can go there tomorrow, said Joe, and suddenly a load fell from his heart. We're going anyway, Joe, get it? Said Jack angrily. I want my baby Jack, I'm so glad you're back, he said.
Ok, let's go, Sabrina said excitedly. Finally they drove off.
Arrived at the hospital, Jack stormed into Mary's room. The doctors wanted to stop her, but Jack only thought of Mary.
Mary was asleep when Jack came into her room. Jack kissed her on the forehead. Suddenly Mary woke up. She opened her eyes and couldn't believe it. Was it a dream or was Jack with her again? Mary suddenly found it difficult to breathe and breathed haltingly. Oh my god, she stammered. Jack, my darling, I love you and have always loved you, stay here, don't leave me, Mary said very nervously. Yes my darling, this time I'll always be by your side.
